On November 2, 2015, after weeks of studying and hard work, the students of UMHS took a much-needed break after completing their Block Two exams. To help celebrate the end of exams and in spirit of the season, the UMHS Student Government Association (SGA) hosted a Halloween-themed block party.
Tickets for the Halloween party went on sale a week prior to the event, with partial proceeds going to the JNF Hospital. Overall, we were able to raise over $1,500.00 U.S. dollars for this great cause.
On the evening of the event, students from all semesters got in the Halloween spirit, dressed up in costumes, and came together to make it a night to remember. With the help of the wonderful staff at Buddies and CJ the DJ on the turntables from 10 pm till 2 am. Guests and ghouls alike had an amazing time as they danced the night away. We all enjoyed a much-deserved break away from the books. Needless to say, the event was a great success. A special thank you to the SGA and everyone who contributed.
Earlier in the semester, SGA also held the Med School Olympics.
