UMHS Announcement: ARP Tuition Reduction

ARP Tuition Reduction - Effective May 2026

The University of Medicine and Health Sciences (UMHS) is pleased to announce a 35% reduction in tuition for the Accelerated Review Program (ARP), effective May 2026. The new ARP tuition rate is $7,000.

The ARP is a one-semester program providing a tailored curriculum specifically designed to prepare students for success in medical school from day one, by strengthening their academic foundation and enhancing their study skills. The program has directly contributed to student success and the University's extremely low attrition rate of 4%. This tuition reduction reflects UMHS's ongoing commitment to making the program more affordable and reducing student debt, allowing more students to take advantage of everything ARP has to offer.

For those considering a master's or post-baccalaureate program as a stepping stone to medical school, ARP is worth a close look. Master's and post-bacc programs typically span one to two years, and completion does not guarantee admission to medical school. ARP is completed in one semester (15 weeks), and students who complete it successfully automatically promote to semester 1 of the UMHS MD program.

Additionally, students who earn a grade of B or higher in ARP qualify for the ARP Success Scholarship, providing an award of $7,000 applied toward tuition in the Basic Sciences program — an amount equal to the new ARP tuition rate. Student loans are also available for eligible ARP students; visit here for details.

To learn more about ARP or for questions about starting an application, please contact our admissions team.

Sincerely,

Warren Ross, JD

UMHS President
