    Human Simulation Educator


    Lata Gowda comes with more than 10 years of experience in area of Simulation and Standardized patient program. She received her Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2000 from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum, India. She worked in Manipal University as Premed instructor and Anatomy Lab Demonstrator.

    Between 2003 and 2006, she returned to continue her education in Master of Physiotherapy with specialization in Orthopedic and sports Medicine from S.D.M.College of  hysiotherapy, Dharwad, India.

    She joined St. Matthew’s school of medicine Grand Cayman in 2006 as Coordinator for clinical skills lab, simulation and standardized patient program.She joined Ross University, Bahamas in 2009 as imulation coordinator, and then moved to Dominica campus to teach the cardiopulmonary simulator Harvey for more than 2 years. Later she worked for Standardized Patient program.

    In May 2015 she joined UMHS as simulation educator/coordinator. She is a member of the Association of Standardized Patient educators and Society for Simulation in Health Care.
