    Dean of Student Affairs, Course Director of Epidemiology and Evidence-based Medicine, Professor of Preclinical Science


    Dr. Sudhir Ambati earned his Master of Public Health degree from Deakin University, Australia. He received his MBBS degree from NTR University of Health Sciences, India.

    Dr. Ambati practiced in his home state back in India and also in the Caribbean. Before joining UMHS, he was the Course Director of Epidemiology in Saba University School of Medicine and also worked in Dept. of ICM and Doctor Patient Relationship courses. During his stay in Saba, Dutch Caribbean, he worked with Body, Mind and Soul organization, which conducts many public health campaigns not only on the Island of Saba but also in other Dutch Caribbean Islands.

    Dr. Ambati has conducted a number of health education programs creating awareness of chronic medical conditions in the community of Saba. He also conducted regular sessions with secondary school students in the Caribbean Islands. Control of mosquito borne infections, sexually transmitted diseases, Nutrition and Diet were some of the programs Dr. Ambati conducted in Collaboration with Saba University and Secondary schools of Dutch Caribbean Islands.
