    Sherisse Wallace, BSN, RN

    Campus Nurse


    Our Campus Nurse, Ms. Sherisse Wallace, is a native of the island of St. Kitts who has earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Midwestern State University, in Wichita Falls Texas; she later gained further certification as a midwife locally at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College.

    Prior to joining UMHS in July 2023, Ms. Wallace worked for the St. Kitts Ministry of Health’s Institution-Based Health Services as a Registered Nurse Midwife, where she was assigned to various departments, such as Accident and Emergency, Quality Assurance and Infection Control, Admission and Discharge Planning, Maternal and Child Health, Surgical Services, and Medical Services. During her tenure with the St. Kitts Ministry of Health, Nurse Sherisse also served as a member of the Health Emergency Operations Committee, which guides the country’s surveillance, preparedness and response to impending threats to public health.

    In addition to attending to injuries and illness, Nurse Sherisse provides referrals to other healthcare institutions for follow-up care, maintain student and staff and medical records, and facilitates campus safety. Ms. Wallace believes that in order to be our best self, we must attend to all dimensions of health and wellness.
