    Robert N. Mucciola

    Robert N. Mucciola, M.D., M.A., FACOG 

    Clinical Chair, Chief of OB-GYN


    Dr. Mucciola served as Chairman, Department of Ob-Gyn, Ross University School of Medicine for 19 years. As such, he concentrated on overseeing the clinical experiences of students during clerkships. He was also instrumental in developing and maintaining the online clinical curriculum for all core clerkships. 

    Dr. Mucciola is a graduate of Washington and Lee University (1978) and Eastern Virginia Medical School (1982). He is a past Fellow of The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

    His interest in medical ethics grew from his involvement with resident education and beginning-of-life issues. He has completed a fellowship at the University of Virginia in Developing Hospital Ethics Programs (1997). In 2006, he received a Bioethics Master’s Degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. 

    As an active member of the American Society of Bioethics and Humanities, Dr. Mucciola conducted large and small group discussions of informed consent and refusal with pre-clinical medical students.
