Professor Celestine earned a Masters of. Library Science and a Bachelor of .Arts from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, British Columbia.

Prior to joining UMHS and IUON in June 2006, Ms. Celestine directed operations for HealthLink Services-Research Services Department, Kitchener Public Library, Kitchener, Ontario. Other positions held by Ms. Celestine were Assistant Director of Library Services, St. Georges University, School of Medicine, Grenada; Director of Library Services, Arusha International Development Resource Centre, Calgary, Alberta; and Library Director, University of the West Indies, Extra-Mural Dept., St Georges, Grenada.

In addition to directing all daily library and exam center operations, Professor Celestine strives to keep UMHS in step with advances in library science, medical information resources and technology, computerized assessment, and educational technologies.
