Clinical Instructor, Preclinical Sciences and Simulation Lab Director
Dr Neilal Isaac is a medical doctor from Grenada. She earned her MD from St. George’s University, Grenada. Dr Isaac also attended the University of Northumbria in Newcastle in England, where she earned a Diploma in Higher Education in medical sciences with distinction. Her academic interests include Integrative medical sciences and enhancing the learning of the basic sciences through universal curriculum design, inclusive education, supporting student wellness and coaching in academic medicine. At present, she holds a post graduate diploma in medical education from the University of Dundee in Scotland and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in medical education at the same institution. She has also completed a Certificate in Executive Leadership for Healthcare Professionals from Cornell University, USA.
Before joining the faculty at UMHS, she worked at St. George’s University in the Department of Anatomical Sciences. While working at St. George’s University she also became an instructor in the American Heart Association Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Courses. She has also completed several educational certificate programs in University Teaching, offered at St. George’s University, including: Scholarly Foundations in Teaching and Learning; Research in Teaching and Learning; and Leadership in Teaching and Learning.
