    Frankie Dunn, Ph.D.

    Assistant Professor of Anatomy

Dr. Frankie Dunn is an Assistant Professor of Anatomy at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences, where she integrates clinical relevance into foundational anatomical education. A former Fulbright Scholar at the University of South Florida, she brings over 10 years of experience in higher education, split between the United States, the United Kingdom, and the Caribbean.

Dr. Dunn completed a PhD in Applied Anthropology at the University of South Florida, following an MSc in Anatomy and Advanced Forensic Anthropology from the University of Dundee and a BSc in Anthropology from Oxford Brookes University. Her doctoral research focused on forensic age estimation, specifically the use of full-body computed tomography scans and Bayes’ Theorem to estimate majority status.

Dr. Dunn found her passion for teaching at the University of Dundee, working as an anatomy demonstrator across a broad spectrum of degree programs. She has since taught gross anatomy, human osteology, and human growth and development as an Instructor of Record at the University of South Florida, Teaching Fellow at High Point University in North Carolina, Anatomical Demonstrator at Ross University School of Medicine in Barbados, and Prosector at Hull York Medical School in the United Kingdom. She cultivates a collegial learning environment grounded in the belief that she, herself, is a lifelong learner, using collaborative learning to help students overcome perfectionism and instead focus on personal and professional development.
