    Angela Unger Waigand, M.A., Ed.D.

    Instructor of Learning Development and Language Skills 


    Dr. Waigand earned a Master of English Language and Linguistics from the University of Arizona and a Doctorate in Education, specializing in Adult Learning, from the University of Calgary. 

    She has over 25 years of teaching and administrative experience in higher education in Canada, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar, where she spent the last ten years working at the University of Calgary in Qatar, a nursing university. In addition to having taught courses in English, communication, study skills, and education, she also developed and managed a learning centre for students in the United Arab Emirates and worked extensively in faculty development in Qatar. 

    Dr. Waigand’s primary areas of interest are adult learning, language acquisition and learning, and faculty development.
