Course Director and Associate Professor of Anatomy

Dr. Afolabi G. Abayomi is a Nigerian medical doctor who was born and raised in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

He trained in one of the oldest and most respected medical schools in West Africa, the University College Hospital, University of Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria, West Africa, after which he practiced medicine both in Nigeria and in the United Kingdom.

He began teaching Anatomy and Embryology at the American University of Antigua where he taught for about five years before moving to the United States to teach at various levels of the medical educational system in Connecticut.

He is a member of the American Anatomical Association and a certified physician with a master’s in Human Anatomy and Physiology from the New York Chiropractic College.
