I also welcome you to the University of Medicine and Health Sciences, St. Kitts (UMHS).

I am excited to be the first dean of UMHS. Having been in the academic medical profession for more than 30 years, I know how rigorous medical studies are. I’ve come to understand that students learn in a variety of ways. Yet U.S. schools often follow a traditional lecture method.

At UMHS, I have been able to work with President Ross to create a unique learning environment for our students. We worked with leaders in the academic medical profession to integrate the best offered by U.S. medical schools with the latest teaching technologies.

The result is a state of the art campus, an extensive library collection, Internet access available in every campus location, and some of the finest faculty members in medical education.

If you have the desire and drive to become a physician, UMHS can provide you with the learning environment you desire to successfully complete your medical studies.
